National Medical Insurance Bureau: Conduct collective talks with designated medical institutions for mental illnesses covered by medical insurance.

Today, the National Medical Insurance Administration issued a notice to further strengthen the management of designated medical institutions for mental illnesses under the medical insurance system, and crack down severely on illegal and irregular use of medical insurance funds. All provincial-level medical insurance departments are required to organize collective discussions with the main responsible persons of all designated mental health medical institutions in their jurisdiction before this Sunday, to explain relevant laws, regulations, and supervisory policies on medical insurance. At the same time, using the recent exposure of problems in some designated mental health medical institutions in Xiangyang and Yichang cities in Hubei Province, as well as past issues identified during medical insurance inspections, as negative examples, warning and educational activities will be carried out to strengthen the awareness of legal and compliant use of medical insurance funds in designated mental health medical institutions.
