A cargo ship capsized in the eastern waters of Hainan, causing 6 people to fall into the water. Currently, 4 people have been rescued.
On the night of January 31st, at around 10 o'clock, the Danzhou Maritime Police Bureau in Hainan received a report from the public that a cargo ship had capsized in the waters near Dongfang due to improperly secured cargo, causing the ship to tilt and overturn. Six crew members had fallen into the sea and were currently missing. The maritime police were requested to conduct a search and rescue operation. Upon receiving the report, the Danzhou Maritime Police Bureau quickly initiated an emergency response mechanism and immediately dispatched the Fuwan boat, which was docked at Dongfang Baosuo Port, to the scene of the incident. The Fuwan boat received the order and promptly headed to the area, arriving at the target location around 11 pm. As of the time of writing, two of the remaining four crew members who fell overboard have been rescued by the Baosuo Maritime Search and Rescue Center, while the other two crew members are still missing. Currently, the maritime police rescue vessels and local maritime authorities are continuing to carry out joint search and rescue operations.
