British Prime Minister Stamer visits China, accompanying companies list is announced: including AstraZeneca, Standard Chartered, Anglo-American Resources, etc.
On the afternoon of January 28th Beijing time, British Prime Minister Stamer arrived at Beijing Capital International Airport to start a 4-day visit to China. The delegation list released by the British government shows that more than 50 business executives and representatives from various organizations are accompanying Stamer on the visit. This includes John Harrison, General Counsel and Head of Public Affairs at Airbus; Pascal Soriot, Global CEO of AstraZeneca; Bill Winters, CEO of Standard Chartered Group; Mark Tucker, Chairman of HSBC Group; Simon Dingemans, Chairman of GlaxoSmithKline; Colm Lacy, Chief Commercial Officer of British Airways; Qian Siduo, Chairman of Anglo American Resources Group; Jason Windsor, CEO of Aon Group; Pathamadai Balaji, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover; Nicholas Collins, CEO of McLaren; Hu Kangyao, CEO of Prudential Group; Jason Ferguson, Chairman of the World Professional Snooker and Billiards Association; and Wu Sitian, Chairman of the UK-China Business Association, covering a wide range of industries including finance, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and culture. The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, when discussing Stamer's visit to China, pointed out that the current international situation is complex and volatile, and as permanent members of the UN Security Council, China and the UK should maintain communication and strengthen cooperation, which is in the common interests of both peoples and also conducive to promoting world peace, stability, and development.
