Throughout the year, a total of over 18,900 cases of crimes that hinder border management were investigated, with over 54,600 criminal suspects arrested, 488 criminal gangs dismantled, and 229 major cases placed on the list for special supervision. Strict crackdowns on illegal crimes involving guns, explosives, drug trafficking, and smuggling at ports and borders resulted in the solving of 438 drug cases, the arrest of 579 criminal suspects, the seizure of 6.09 tons of various types of drugs, and the solving of 74 cases involving over 10,000 grams; 2,098 firearms were confiscated, along with over 64,500 bullets.
