Central and southern regions are now experiencing heavy fog. Henan has initiated a level IV emergency response to major meteorological disasters.
The meteorological observatory of Henan Province shows that from 20:00 on January 27 to 7:00 on January 28, dense fog appeared in central and southern Henan, with some counties including Zhengzhou, Pingdingshan, Xuchang, Zhoukou, Nanyang, and Zhumadian experiencing extremely dense fog with visibility less than or equal to 50 meters. The top three locations with the smallest visibility were: Xiping at 36 meters, Pingdingshan at 38 meters, and Xihua at 40 meters. It is reported that the Henan Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning of dense fog at 17:00 on January 27, and the Henan Provincial Meteorological Bureau initiated a level IV emergency response to major meteorological disasters. From 20:00 on January 27 to 7:00 on January 28, a total of 76 warning signals for dense fog and other conditions were issued in the province, with Gongshan County, Xiping County, Ruyang County, Xihua County, Runan County, and Dengzhou City issuing a red warning for dense fog.
