Hebei Province has nurtured and developed a high-end equipment industry worth trillions of yuan.

Reporters learned from the ongoing two sessions of Hebei Province that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the innovative driving force in Hebei Province is accelerating, the pace of transformation and upgrading is speeding up, and the high-end equipment industry has become a trillion-level industry. Over the past 5 years, Hebei's economic strength has risen to a new level, with the province's GDP increasing from 3.68 trillion yuan in 2020 to 4.93 trillion yuan in 2025, achieving trillion-level growth, with annual growth of industrial value-added output of large-scale industries averaging 6.5%. In this process, Hebei has cultivated and formed two trillion-level industries in high-end equipment and advanced steel, and a number of hundred-billion-level industries. In 2025, the high-end equipment industry will drive an increase of 2.2 percentage points in the value-added output of large-scale industries, with equipment manufacturing accounting for 21.2% of the total industrial output value, an increase of 1.4 percentage points from the previous year.
