Polish Finance Minister: Poland is not in a hurry to join the Eurozone.
Poland is not in a rush to join the Eurozone, the government stating that the country's strong economic performance suggests that it is currently more beneficial to retain the Zloty. Polish Finance Minister Andrzej Domaski said that despite EU member states being obligated to join the single currency area upon meeting certain criteria, as Poland's economy is growing faster than most Eurozone economies, the reasons for adopting the Euro have weakened. "Our economy is now clearly outperforming most countries using the Euro," Domaski said in an interview. "We have more and more data, research, and evidence supporting the retention of the Polish Zloty."
