The French Confederation of Labour announced that the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China will lay off 1,800 employees in France by the end of 2027.

The French trade union stated on Wednesday that Societe Generale plans to cut 1,800 jobs in France by the end of 2027. The union said in a statement, "Management is convening unions... to present them with a restructuring plan that will result in 1,800 job cuts - and there is no specific support plan." The French trade union expects the bank to make a statement on Thursday.
