Kim Jong-un removed a Deputy Prime Minister from his cabinet position.

The completion ceremony of the first phase of the modernization renovation project of the Longcheng Machinery Joint Enterprise in North Korea was held on January 19. Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Council, attended the completion ceremony and delivered a speech. Kim Jong Un stated that the first phase of the modernization project of Longcheng Machinery Joint Enterprise has encountered many difficulties and economic losses due to the irresponsibility of some leaders. Kim Jong Un said that he no longer expects irresponsible and negative people, and he dismissed the position of Yang Shenghu, Vice Premier of the North Korean Cabinet, on the spot.
