The Ministry of Education and six other departments have issued opinions to promote the inheritance and development of excellent Chinese language and culture.

Recently, the Ministry of Education, the National Language Commission, the Central Propaganda Department, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League issued the "Opinions on Deepening the Inheritance and Development of Chinese Excellent Language and Culture and Improving the Language and Cultural Literacy of the Whole People". The "Opinions" put forward the main tasks as follows: Firstly, to scientifically research and interpret, and propose in-depth research and interpretation on major theoretical and practical issues related to language and culture. Secondly, to promote educational popularization, organize and implement major projects and actions, promote the innovative development of Chinese excellent language and culture education in various regions, schools, and related units. Thirdly, to protect and develop resources, strengthen the governance of national language resources, enhance the investigation, organization, scientific protection, standard storage, development, and sharing of language resources, and transform the advantage of language resources into a cultural development advantage. Fourthly, to strengthen digital empowerment, accelerate the construction of language and culture resource digitization, the application of digital achievements in language and culture, and the intelligent empowerment of language and culture inheritance. Fifthly, to build a strong talent team, increase the construction of language disciplines, the incentive for language talents, and the gathering of language talents.
