Munich to Beijing flight diverted to Almaty, passenger dies on board.
German airline Lufthansa flight LH0722 from Munich to Beijing made an emergency landing at Almaty International Airport in Kazakhstan on December 26 due to a medical emergency. A passenger on board died due to illness. The Civil Aviation Authority of Kazakhstan reported that during the flight, a passenger suddenly felt unwell and then lost consciousness. The flight crew made the decision to land at Almaty International Airport. After the plane landed, the airport medical service department and city emergency medical team immediately boarded the aircraft to carry out rescue work. After on-site confirmation by medical personnel, it was determined that the passenger had died during the flight. The Kazakhstan Traffic Police Department issued a report stating that based on preliminary medical findings, the cause of death was acute heart failure, with further investigations ongoing.
