According to the regular press conference held by the State Intellectual Property Office in December, the office supports Beijing in building a strong intellectual property city with high standards. It supports the construction of demonstration cities for national intellectual property strength in the districts of Haidian, Chaoyang, and Fengtai, leading the way in creating a model for building a strong intellectual property nation. It supports Beijing in deepening intellectual property cooperation within the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. Guidance has been provided for the three areas to sign a strategic cooperation agreement for advancing intellectual property coordination, promoting cross-regional patent transformation and enforcement and judicial cooperation, and facilitating coordinated overseas intellectual property rights protection services across the three areas. Support has been provided for Beijing in continuously optimizing public intellectual property services. Guidance has been given for Beijing to release the country's first comprehensive public intellectual property service standard, leading to the full coverage of comprehensive public service agencies and service item lists at the municipal and district levels. The Fengtai acceptance window for trademark business at the State Intellectual Property Office has been the first to try out the new online trademark application service system, continuously improving system performance, optimizing service processes, and effectively enhancing the convenience of intellectual property services in Beijing. As of now, Beijing has issued over 3800 patent open licensing declarations. By the end of June this year, Beijing's high-value invention patent ownership per 10,000 people reached 171.8, ranking first in the country; the number of valid invention patents reached 695,000, with an annual growth rate of 17.9%; the number of valid registered trademarks reached 3.282 million, with an annual growth rate of 9.7%; and there are 14,000 practicing patent agents, accounting for 36.2% of the national total, highlighting the talent aggregation effect of intellectual property rights.
