Recently, the maglev team at the National University of Defense Technology successfully accelerated a ton-level test vehicle to 700 kilometers per hour within two seconds during maglev experiments. This test speed broke the global record for similar platforms, making it the fastest superconducting electric maglev test speed in the world. After 10 years of research and development, the maglev team at the National University of Defense Technology successfully achieved the highest test speed of a ton-level load of 700 kilometers per hour and safely stopped on the 400-meter maglev test line. This breakthrough has overcome core technical challenges such as ultra-high-speed electromagnetic propulsion, electric suspension guidance, transient high-power energy storage inversion, and high-field superconducting magnets, marking China's entry into the international leading position in the field of ultra-high-speed maglev.
