It was reported that the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Transportation is conducting in-depth research on the feasibility of the Guangdong-Guangdong Canal, and plans to complete the first batch of results review of the preliminary feasibility study of the Guangdong-Guangdong Canal in November 2025. At the same time, the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Transportation is carrying out the preliminary research and argumentation of the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Canal, and plans to complete the preliminary feasibility study and outline expert review of 4 topics in September 2025, accelerating the progress of the preliminary feasibility study of the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Canal project. The Jiangxi Provincial Department of Water Resources is fully cooperating with the Department of Transportation to advance the preliminary work of the Zhejiang-Jiangxi-Guangdong Canal and its key cascade projects. They have held several consultations with the Provincial Department of Transportation on the preliminary work of the Zhejiang-Jiangxi-Guangdong Canal and the improvement of the grade of the Ganjiang River navigation channel, focusing on discussions and exchanges regarding the preliminary work of key navigation cascade projects to expedite project approval and implementation.
