A fire broke out in the Samsung Electronics campus, approximately 120 people were evacuated.

At around 10:02 am local time today, a research and development building in the Samsung Electronics campus in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea caught on fire, forcing approximately 120 people to evacuate. It is reported that the Samsung Electronics internal fire brigade extinguished the flames around 10:15 am, with 30 equipment and 77 personnel dispatched by the fire department, completely extinguishing the fire by 10:23 am. The police and fire department plan to launch an investigation into the exact cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage. Samsung has stated that the fire will not impact production.
