The National Transportation Conference will be held in 2026.

The National Conference on Transportation Work in 2026 was held at the Party School of the Ministry of Transport from December 22nd to 23rd. The meeting was guided by Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the various plenary sessions of the Central Committee, thoroughly implementing the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference, summing up the work of transportation in 2025 and the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, analyzing the situation, and deploying key tasks for 2026. Liu Wei, Secretary of the Party Group and Minister of the Ministry, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting pointed out that 2025 is the closing year of the "14th Five-Year Plan". Under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, the transportation industry has closely focused on accelerating the construction of a strong transportation country, working hard, overcoming difficulties, and successfully completing the annual target tasks. Major development indicators have maintained steady growth, the safety production situation continues to improve, and the system and mechanism for building a strong transportation country have become more sound. Over the past year, new progress has been made in the construction of transportation infrastructure networks, the capacity of transportation service guarantee has continued to improve, new quality production forces in the transportation sector have accelerated development, and the implementation guarantee for national major strategies has become more effective. Reform in key areas of transportation has steadily advanced, external opening and cooperation has continued to deepen, efforts to ensure transportation safety and stability have been continuously strengthened, and the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party has been pushed forward. In the past five years, the transportation industry has achieved significant new achievements. Breakthrough progress has been made in the construction of a comprehensive transportation system in China, and the comprehensive transportation capacity, service quality, and operational efficiency have greatly improved, laying a solid foundation for the development of transportation in the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
