Scientists have discovered, using drone technology, that a deadly whale virus may be spreading in the Arctic Circle. This research provides key information for developing protective strategies. The virus is associated with multiple large-scale stranding events of cetaceans worldwide, and early warning can aid in timely intervention. The study, conducted by institutions including King's College London in the UK, was published in the recent journal BMC Veterinary Research.
