The Russian State Technical Group announced on the 22nd that the Su-57 fighter aircraft, equipped with a fifth-generation engine, successfully completed its first test flight. The code name for Russia's fifth-generation aviation engine is "Product 177," with an afterburning thrust of up to 16000 kilograms of force. In addition, this type of engine has lower fuel consumption in all operating conditions, as well as a longer service life, and its overall performance is significantly superior to the previous generation aviation engines. The Russian technical group emphasized that the Su-57 fighter aircraft has fully verified its performance in combat environments, fully meeting the technical standards of fifth-generation aircraft, including stealth capabilities, and all performance indicators meet requirements. Export deliveries have been achieved at present.
