The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs registers the introduction of new varieties of specialty crops.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, focusing on the current industry demand and urgent production needs, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently registered and introduced 1,048 new varieties of specialty crops, of which 98.5% are domestically bred varieties. Varieties that continuously improve the yield of grain and oil crops are being introduced, and varieties such as cherry tomatoes and fruit cucumbers that meet the needs of people's better lives are becoming more diversified. Currently, the registered varieties across the country cover 29 types of crops in seven major categories including specialty grains, oilseeds, sugar crops, vegetables, fruits, tea trees, and rubber trees.
