Based on the Alibaba 1000 Questions, Uganda creates a local large model.

Uganda recently officially released its local large language model "Sunflower", which is developed based on the Alibaba open-source Thousand Questions Big Model. With the help of this model, Uganda has achieved translation and content generation in various local languages such as Luganda, providing professional agricultural guidance for farmers and helping students access educational materials in their mother tongue, greatly reducing the barriers to knowledge acquisition. The project leader, Zawed, stated that this move allows residents in remote areas who speak dialects to equally enjoy health guidance.
