Apple adjusts iOS rules in Japan: Supports third-party app stores and payment methods.

Apple announced on December 18th that it will make adjustments to its iOS applications in Japan to comply with the regulations of the Japanese "Smartphone Software Competition Promotion Law". According to the new regulations, developers will have the option to distribute iOS applications in Japan through app stores other than the App Store. In addition, for iOS applications available on the Japanese App Store, developers will be able to add alternative payment methods within the applications, allow users to complete payment transactions on websites, or both.
