According to the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, reporters learned from the Shenzhen Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation that in the first 11 months of this year, the city handled 56,000 departures for tax refunds, an increase of 13 times compared to the previous year; the sales of tax refund commodities for departures increased 2.4 times year-on-year, and the sales of "buy and refund" commodities increased nearly 40 times year-on-year; tourists from over 160 countries and regions have been handling departure tax refunds in Shenzhen, and their purchasing power upon entry continues to rise.
