Seven people have died in a mine collapse in Zimbabwe.

On December 16th local time, a mine collapsed in Matabeleland North Province, Zimbabwe. Currently, 7 bodies of deceased miners have been found, with 3 people rescued. The operation to search for survivors is still ongoing. An official from the Zimbabwe Ministry of Mines and Mining Development stated that preliminary investigations indicate that the mine collapse was caused by unsafe mining operations.
