Chengmai in Hainan has been approved as the national geographical indication protection demonstration zone, making it the first in Hainan province.

On December 16th, it was learned from the Hainan Provincial Market Supervision Administration that the State Intellectual Property Office recently issued a notice approving Chengmai, Hainan as a national geographical indication protection demonstration zone. This is also the first national geographical indication protection demonstration zone in Hainan Province. Chengmai aims to protect geographical indications at a high level, manage them at a high standard, and use them effectively to create a model for geographical indication protection in Hainan, promote local specialty products, enhance the brand of efficient tropical agriculture, and support the high-quality development of the county's economy.
