Beijing Automotive Group announced that it plans to start L3 operations in specific scenarios in the first quarter of 2026. According to the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today, Changan Automobile and Beiqi Blue Valley Magna recently submitted applications for the entry of intelligent connected vehicles with L3 conditional automated driving functions to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology conditionally approved the relevant products in the 401st batch of announcements. "The model applied for this time is the Jihu Alpha S, equipped with 34 high-performance sensors including three LiDARs." Beiqi stated that the Beiqi Yuanscape intelligent driving technology system currently has three versions: Pro, Max, and Ultra. The Max version uses 400-600T computing power, based on the world model and VLA technology, and can be expanded to L3 conditional automated driving; the Ultra version uses over 1000T computing power and is aimed at L4 level driverless taxis.
