National Bureau of Statistics: Instant retail, live-streaming e-commerce and other new consumption models are growing rapidly. Online consumption and the development of emerging consumption are improving.

Fu Linghui, spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics, stated that new types of consumption are steadily growing, and their leading role is becoming increasingly prominent. New consumption models such as real-time retail and live streaming e-commerce are developing rapidly, and online consumption and emerging consumption are showing positive trends. From January to November, the online retail sales of physical goods increased by 5.7% year-on-year, with a growth rate faster than the total retail sales of consumer goods by 1.7 percentage points, accounting for 25.9% of the total consumer retail sales. Digital consumption, green consumption, and healthy consumption are becoming increasingly popular, and their leading and supporting roles in consumption are becoming more prominent. From January to November, the retail sales volume of new energy vehicles in the national passenger car market maintained rapid growth.
