From selling machines to selling solutions, China's machinery industry has made remarkable achievements.

Reporters learned from the China Machinery Industry Federation that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's machinery industry has made significant achievements in industrial scale, foreign trade, and innovation capabilities, laying a solid foundation for promoting new industrialization. In terms of industrial scale, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the value added of China's machinery industry has increased at an average annual rate of 7.1%, with a growth rate of 8.7% in the first three quarters of this year, both higher than the average national industrial and manufacturing levels for the same period. The number of large-scale enterprises has increased from 92,000 to 137,000 by the end of October 2025. Furthermore, during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the sales volume of new energy vehicles, electric construction machinery, and new energy agricultural machinery has increased significantly. Enterprises have accelerated their transformation from manufacturing single products to integrated "product + service" solutions. Looking forward to the "15th Five-Year Plan", China's machinery industry will focus on improving the resilience and security level of the industrial chain and supply chain, accelerating the cultivation and development of new quality productivity. The industry will focus on the transformation towards intelligent, green, and integrated machinery industries, forming a new development pattern where traditional industries upgrade, emerging industries take the lead, and future industries are laid out.
