Poyang Lake falls below the extreme drought level, and the area of flowing water from the Tongjiang River decreases by 90%.

On December 14th at 6 o'clock, at the Xingzi Station, the iconic hydrological station at Poyang Lake, the 8-meter water gauge scale was exposed above the water surface, marking the lake's water level falling below the extreme low-water level. Currently, the area of the Poyang Lake water body connected to the Yangtze River has decreased by 90% compared to the abundant water period.
