The Sudan Sovereignty Council has said that the Rapid Support Forces attacked United Nations agency facilities.

On December 8th, local time, the Sudanese Sovereignty Council issued a statement condemning the use of drones by the Sudan Rapid Support Forces to attack a United Nations compound in the capital of the South Kordofan State, Kadugli. The statement pointed out that the attack on the UN facilities by the Rapid Support Forces was a dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, constituting organized terrorism. The statement called on the United Nations and the international community to effectively protect UN facilities and humanitarian workers, and to hold those responsible accountable according to international law. The Sudan Rapid Support Forces have not yet responded to this.
