Beijing's two airports welcome the first snowfall, and Beijing Capital International Airport initiates a level-one response mechanism for air traffic control.

From the North China Air Traffic Control Bureau, it was learned that around 11:00 on December 12th, the Capital Airport welcomed its first snowfall of this winter. The North China Air Traffic Control Bureau promptly activated the ice and snow protection plan, and the Capital Airport activated the Runway Management Committee's Level One Response Mechanism, simultaneously initiating targeted de-icing from north to south. As of 12:00, there were a total of 481 inbound and outbound flights at the Capital Airport, and 349 at the Daxing Airport; there were 63 pre-de-icing flights at the Capital Airport, and 1 de-icing flight at the gate. The overall flight volume in the North China region today is expected to reach around 5500 flights, with 1200 at the Capital Airport and 950 at the Daxing Airport.
