On December 11th, the electronic screens at the Haikou Xinhaigang and Nangang "second-line ports" inspection site prominently display "7 days left until the closure of the Hainan Free Trade Port operation". On that day, the fourth group of the front work team for the closure operation of the Hainan Free Trade Port conducted on-site inspections to track the implementation of key tasks in collaboration with relevant departments, accelerate the progress of ongoing tasks, verify the effectiveness of completed work, and make full preparations for the closure operation. "So far, the preparation for the closure operation has achieved significant results, with all the province's external opening ports, 'second-line ports,' related facilities and equipment, platform system functions, personnel capabilities, and departmental coordination meeting the expected targets." Chen Jian, deputy director of the Pressure Testing and Risk Prevention Department of the Provincial Party Committee's Deep Reform Office, and a second-level researcher, introduced that the operational status of the province's off-island duty-free shops is good, and the testing of closure policies is being orderly conducted, with good results in testing at various "second-line ports."
