Local time on December 10th, an official announcement shows that the Trump administration plans to require visa-free foreign visitors to disclose their social media history from the past five years before entering the United States. This proposal was published on the Federal Register on the 9th and will apply to visa-free visitors from 42 countries including the UK, France, Australia, and Japan. Currently, these visitors only need to apply for an exemption called the Electronic System for Travel Authorization, but this system still requires them to provide certain personal information.
