At the Social Security Forum of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the release event of the "China Pension Development Report 2025", Zhao Yulong, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the China Insurance Industry Association, introduced that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the construction of the third pillar of pension insurance has achieved significant results. The accumulated reserve funds for commercial pensions and health insurance reached 11 trillion yuan, commercial health insurance provided economic compensation of 1.8 trillion yuan to the sick population, long-term care insurance covered 180 million people, and the insurance industry constructed 130 elderly care community projects. In the next step, the Insurance Industry Association will deepen the industry, improve services for the people's pension security needs, and explore together with the society the Chinese path of pension finance in an aging society.
