Consumer spending in the United States stalled in September, with signs of economic momentum weakening under inflation pressure.
According to the Wise Finance APP, the latest data shows that consumer spending in the United States in September was almost stagnant, indicating that under the stubborn inflation pressure, the American people have already shown signs of fatigue before the government shutdown. Data released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) shows that personal consumption expenditure (PCE) adjusted for inflation in September barely grew, with the previous figure also being revised down to 0.2%. This report, originally scheduled to be released on October 31st, was delayed due to the government shutdown and was finally published this week.
