During the 2025 China International Maritime Exhibition, reporters learned that this year, orders for feeder container ships have been particularly hot. The relevant person in charge of Guangdong COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry revealed that many orders have been released in the feeder container ship market this year, and it is expected that the orders for this type of ship will continue to be hot next year, with the company's orders basically full by the end of 2028. The relevant person in charge of Wuhu Shipyard also told Caixin reporters that as of the end of this year, the company's orders for feeder container ships amount to tens of billions of yuan, a significant increase from last year. According to Clarkson Research data, from the beginning of this year until now, the orders for "feeder and large feeder" container ships below 5000 TEU have reached 293 ships, accounting for more than half of the total container ship orders so far this year, an increase of 100 ships compared to the data from the beginning of this year until mid-September.
