The construction of the cross-strait integration channel is accelerating again, and the throughput of goods from Taiwan at Fuzhou Port has exceeded 10 million tons.
From the Development Center of Fuzhou Port in Fujian Province, it was learned that from January to October, Fuzhou Port achieved a breakthrough in economic and trade exchanges and personnel exchanges with Taiwan, with core indicators reaching historic highs: the throughput of goods to Taiwan exceeded 10 million tons for the first time, reaching 10.96 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 45%; the Fuzhou-Matsu "small three links" route transported 81,628 passengers, a year-on-year increase of 54.37%, with strong growth in cross-strait passenger and cargo exchanges. As the core hub port for transportation between Fujian Province and Taiwan, Fuzhou Port's throughput of goods to Taiwan has accounted for 60.6% of the total in the province, further consolidating its pivotal position as the "golden channel" for integrated development between the two sides of the strait.
