Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, stated in an article that the global market share of Chinese cars continues to rise. In October, China's global market share reached a good level of 38%, an increase of 1 percentage point compared to last year. By 2024, China is expected to reach a market share of 34.2% in the global automotive market, and by October 2025, the market share is expected to reach 34.9%, 3 percentage points higher than the annual share. Among the top 10 car companies in the world, three Chinese car companies have seen strong growth in market share, with BYD ranking 6th, Geely ranking 8th, and Chery ranking 10th. The development of electrification has also led to a gradual decline in market share for some international car companies. Apart from factors such as the temporary strength of the US market and the good performance of brands like Suzuki in the Indian market, there has been a significant overall decline in market share for other international brands.
