Senior military officers are prohibited from using Android phones for official communications.
On November 26th local time, according to the Israeli Army Radio, the Israeli Defense Forces will introduce a new regulation that prohibits the use of Android phones on military-issued lines and requires senior officers ranked colonel and above to use Apple phones for official communication. This move aims to reduce the risk of senior officers' phones being hacked and enhance information security. In addition to phones, the IDF had previously imposed strict restrictions on vehicles used by officers citing security reasons.
