Jilin Province: By 2030, the total economic output of the modern urban agglomeration in Changchun is expected to reach around 1.35 trillion yuan.

Recently, the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the People's Government of Jilin Province issued the implementation plan for promoting the rapid construction of a modern people's city with Jilin characteristics and high-quality development of urban areas. Jilin Province will focus on optimizing its structure and strive to build a modern urban system with Jilin characteristics. Jilin Province will cultivate and expand the modern metropolitan area of Changchun. It will support Changchun in fully implementing national strategies and leading regional development. Speed up the construction of a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network inside and outside the modern metropolitan area of Changchun, creating a "metropolitan area on rails" and a "1-hour commuting circle." Promote the high-level urbanization development of Changchun, Jilin, Siping, and Liaoyuan. Implement the Innovative Talent Aggregation Project and establish a platform for gathering high-end industrial talents. By 2030, the population of the modern metropolitan area of Changchun is expected to reach around 13 million, and the total economic output is expected to reach around 1.35 trillion yuan.
