According to the Southern Metropolis Daily, a level five fire broke out in the Hong Fu Court in Tai Po, New Territories, Hong Kong recently, causing continued concern. At the time of the incident, Hong Fu Court was undergoing maintenance work, with the building contractor being Hongye Construction Engineering Company Limited. On December 1st, the reporter learned from the Hong Kong Labour Department that the company has had multiple violations in previous years. According to the Labour Department's occupational safety and health conviction record, it was found that the involved contractor, Hongye Construction Engineering Company Limited, has had multiple violations in previous years. From 2018 to date, they have violated the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations at least 7 times and have been fined, with the company being found to have repeatedly violated the rules at some worksites.
