IMAX China (01970) announced its performance for the first half of 2026, with revenue of 34.49 million USD, a decrease of 40.4% year-on-year; net profit of 8.104 million USD, a decrease of 66.08% year-on-year; and earnings per share of 0.02 USD. Among them, the revenue from content solutions decreased from 20.8 million USD in the first half of the 2025 fiscal year to 6.3 million USD in the first half of the 2026 fiscal year, a decrease of 69.7%. This was mainly due to a decrease in box office revenue compared to the first half of the 2025 fiscal year, as well as a significant decrease in the proportion of local language box office, leading to a decrease in the group's box office commission rate. IMAX format film box office revenue decreased from 205.5 million USD in the first half of the 2025 fiscal year to 91.5 million USD in the first half of the 2026 fiscal year, a decrease of 55.5%. During the Spring Festival in the first half of the 2025 fiscal year, a record total box office was achieved, led by the film "Ne Zha" with 160 million USD, making it the champion of IMAX film box office in mainland China's film history. However, this situation did not reoccur in the first half of the 2026 fiscal year.
