On the news front, on July 16, JIANGXI COPPER announced its plan to spin off its subsidiary Jiangxi Copper Foil Technology Co., Ltd. (Jiang Copper Foil) for listing on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. After the completion of this spin-off, Jiangxi Copper's equity structure will not undergo significant changes, and it will still maintain control over Jiang Copper Foil.
The announcement stated that through this spin-off, Jiang Copper Foil will be independently listed as a copper foil business platform under Jiangxi Copper, leveraging the Hong Kong capital market to broaden financing channels, enhance financial strength, and improve incentive mechanisms, which will help strengthen its comprehensive competitiveness, brand awareness, and market influence in the field of electrolytic copper foil. At the same time, Jiangxi Copper will further focus on its business and comprehensively enhance the overall competitiveness of the company.
