The calculation method of the Hang Seng Tech Index will add SpaceX to the list of designated US-listed constituents.
On June 12, Hang Seng Index Company announced that the world's richest man, Musk, had listed his space exploration company SpaceX (SPCX.US) on June 12. Therefore, the calculation method for the Hang Seng Hong Kong-US Technology Index will add SpaceX to the list of designated US listed component stocks; the current list includes the seven tech giants.
The weights of the eight US-listed component stocks will be recalculated to equal weight after the market closes on June 23 (SpaceX's 7th trading day), and the weights of the new and updated component stocks will take effect on June 29 (SpaceX's 11th trading day).
