The "Code of Conduct" clearly states that website platforms should timely clean up information that infringes on the personal rights of entrepreneurs, proactively remove verified false information related to enterprises, strengthen the management of enterprise-related topics in rankings, continuously optimize algorithm recommendation mechanisms, eliminate the "flow" of negative information related to enterprises, strictly manage illegal profit-making activities, cancel the profit-making rights of "self-media" accounts that frequently publish negative information related to enterprises, and increase the handling of accounts involved in such matters. The relevant person in charge of the National Internet Information Office stated that the formulation and release of the "Code of Conduct" is conducive to building industry consensus, strengthening industry self-discipline, enhancing the governance of enterprise-related infringement information, further optimizing the business environment on the Internet, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and entrepreneurs. Strictly manage illegal profit-making activities. Close fake news accounts mimicking news units, resolutely handle "self-media" accounts that send negative information verification letters to enterprises, and accounts that charge fees under various pretexts for so-called enterprise supervision. 9. Cancel the profit-making rights of related accounts. Cancel the profit-making rights of "self-media" accounts that frequently publish negative information related to enterprises, including but not limited to revenue sharing, advertising revenue, promoting products, and live broadcast tips. 10. Strengthen the handling of accounts involved in such matters. Adhere to the principle of "handling information and accounts together," resolutely handle accounts that spread infringement information, and implement coordinated handling of accounts belonging to MCN organizations.
