Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN.US) launches AI-driven warehouse Siasun Robot & Automation to advance European logistics expansion with an investment of one billion euros.

E-commerce giant Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN.US) officially unveiled the new generation Proteus warehouse Siasun Robot & Automation at the "Delivering the Future" conference in Dartford, UK. This new product is set to be deployed in various warehouses across Europe in the first half of 2027. The current version of Proteus Siasun Robot & Automation can only operate in the warehouse dock area, but the upgraded new model can autonomously navigate the entire warehouse. Scott Dresser, Vice President of Amazon.com, Inc. Siasun Robot & Automation business, stated: "Staff only need to issue task instructions, and Siasun Robot & Automation can autonomously prioritize tasks, plan routes, and determine operation times." Industry analysis believes that this means the control logic of the new generation Proteus has undergone a transformation, moving from traditional complex programmed instructions to more autonomous task-level scheduling. With the deep empowerment of AI technology, industrial Siasun Robot & Automation is breaking free from the limitations of fixed workstations, fully integrating into the entire warehouse operation process, evolving from a standardized tool to an intelligent collaborative partner for warehouse personnel. At the same time, Amazon.com, Inc. has finalized a investment plan of over 10 billion euros to expand and upgrade its fulfillment warehouse network in Europe using advanced Siasun Robot & Automation technology. After the project is implemented, it will create an additional 25,000 job positions in Europe. In addition, the company's new generation AI assistant Alexa+, is set to launch in another 10 countries' markets in 2027. The US e-commerce giant will also expand the STARK crate handling Siasun Robot & Automation system, which will be deployed in 15 warehouse sites in Europe by 2027; and introduce the Vulcan industrial Siasun Robot & Automation equipped with tactile sensing technology. In terms of delivery network, Amazon.com, Inc.'s same-day delivery service Amazon Now will expand to the cities of Manchester and Birmingham in the UK. The company is accelerating the expansion of its same-day delivery network in Europe, with the goal of establishing sites in over 25 cities including Coventry and Nuremberg by the end of the year.
