BAY AREA DEV (00737) announced that, after an open tender and bidding process conducted by the Guangzhou Public Resource Trading Center, the contractor was selected as the winning bidder. On April 30, 2026 (after the trading session), the contractor entered into a digital transformation construction contract with the joint venture of Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Line (considered as a subsidiary of the company). According to the digital transformation construction contract, the contractor agrees to undertake the construction project for the digital transformation and upgrade of the traffic infrastructure of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Line expressway, with a contract price of RMB 36,067,600. The purpose of the digital transformation construction contract is to respond to the national strategic priority project of digitizing and upgrading the road infrastructure, making the expressway more intelligent, efficient, safe, and economical. Big data and non-stop tolling help alleviate congestion, real-time perception enhances driving safety, digital twins achieve precise maintenance, and provide lane-level navigation, charging station inquiries, and other services, laying the foundation for vehicle-road coordination and autonomous driving. By building smart stations and service areas, it will help enhance the passage capacity and service level of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai West Line expressway, strengthen the core competitiveness of the company in the toll road industry, and align with the company's development strategy.
