In terms of 5G network construction, a total of 4.705 million 5G base stations have been built nationwide, with 33.4 5G base stations per ten thousand people. The key cities for the "Sail" Action Plan for 5G applications are leading in network construction, with an average of 42.5 5G base stations per ten thousand people. As 5G technology continues to deepen its application in various industries, the scale of construction of virtual private networks in the 5G industry nationwide has steadily increased, reaching over 64,000 in total. The total number of 5G industry virtual private networks in the key cities for the "Sail" Action Plan for 5G applications has reached 16,200, accounting for over 25% of the total nationwide.
In terms of 5G application connections, the number of 5G IoT terminal users in China has exceeded 120 million, with over 27 million 5G IoT terminal connections in the key cities for the "Sail" Action Plan for 5G applications. These cities are promoting 5G applications vigorously in key industries such as industry, healthcare, and education, with an average penetration rate of 49.4% for large industrial enterprises, higher than the national average of 37%. In the healthcare sector, hospitals in cities like Nanchang and Luoyang have penetration rates of 84% and 71% respectively, while educational institutions in cities like Chengdu and Zhuhai have penetration rates of 63.8% and 50% respectively.
