An official from the Office of the National Internet Information Bureau stated that website platforms must strictly adhere to the legal bottom line and red line, and strictly implement the requirements for labeling artificial intelligence-generated synthetic content.
Recently, the Internet Information Office found in its work that the "Clip" and "Cat Box" apps, as well as the "Dream AI" website, have not effectively implemented the requirements of identifying artificial intelligence-generated synthetic content, in violation of laws such as the Network Security Law, the Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services, and the Measures for Identifying Artificial Intelligence-Generated Synthetic Content. The National Internet Information Office guided the local Internet Information Offices to take measures such as interviews, ordering corrections, warnings, and strict measures against responsible parties against the above-mentioned websites. The person in charge of the National Internet Information Office stated that website platforms must strictly abide by legal requirements and regulations relating to identifying artificial intelligence-generated synthetic content. The Internet Information Office will further promote the lawful management and governance of the Internet, continue to strengthen the supervision and management of identifying artificial intelligence-generated synthetic content, and effectively uphold social public interests to promote the healthy and orderly development of artificial intelligence.
