The latest report of the American League Building Price Index is 144.02 points, up 0.45% weekly, rising for 7 consecutive weeks. Compared to four weeks ago, the index has risen by 2.24%, and has increased by 6.91% year-to-date. It has also increased by 14.05% from the low point last year.
Analyst Can Songqian of Centaline Property pointed out that the latest "Centaline Price Index" is at 144.02 points, rising by 0.45% weekly, marking a seventh consecutive week of increase, pushing Hong Kong property prices to a new high of about 2 and a half years. The index has risen by 2.24% compared to four weeks ago, accumulating a 6.91% increase so far this year, and has risen by 14.05% since its low point last year. Can Songqian continued to say that the "Centaline Confidence Index", reflecting the attitudes of property owners, is currently at 81.3 points, down 1.3% weekly. With the ongoing uncertainties in the Middle East, the confidence index fluctuates at a high level. However, as the war enters into a negotiation stage and new property transactions remain strong, pushing up the prices of second-hand properties, the confidence index has been maintained above 80 points for 11 consecutive weeks, indicating further room for property price increases.
