On April 24th, the National Energy Administration released the issuance and trading data of renewable energy green power certificates for March 2026. In March 2026, the National Energy Administration issued 303 million green certificates, involving 1.765 million renewable energy generation projects, of which 204 million were tradable green certificates, accounting for 67.12%. The green certificates corresponding to renewable energy generation in February 2026 were 163 million, accounting for 53.65%.
Green Certificate Trading
In March 2026, a total of 62.56 million green certificates were traded nationwide, with 32.7 million traded in CHINA GREEN power trading.
In March 2026, a total of 29.85 million green certificates were traded individually nationwide, including 6.63 million green certificates for electricity produced in 2024, at an average price of 2.08 yuan per certificate; 22.28 million green certificates for electricity produced in 2025, at an average price of 5.95 yuan per certificate; and 0.95 million green certificates for electricity produced in 2026, at an average price of 7.76 yuan per certificate.
